Hi there! My name is Brenda O’Sullivan, I am twenty-four years old and I currently live in Brentwood, Los Angeles. I graduated from USC in Spring 2013 with a BA in Psychology. I consider myself to be a very empathic, generous, fun-loving and passionate person, which is why I think that this field is a great fit for me. I am a kid at heart and have always felt a close bond to children. Inspiring a young mind is a beautiful thing to me. I have worked with a wide variety of ages ranging from two to thirteen years old. I think several factors have led me to love and find success caring for children. My parents hired a live-in nanny due to their demanding work schedules who played a large role in my childhood upbringing. Because of this, I spent much of my time growing up at home being Read more cared for and instructed by someone who wasn’t my mother. I think experiencing this form of care taking from the child’s perspective has taught me valuable lessons about how to deal with, entertain, and instruct children of various ages. Additionally, in junior high and high school I led summer camps and helped mentor second grade children and I found it very fulfilling. I then began offering to help relatives babysit their children, and from then I moved on to other families outside of my own because I just loved doing it! Seeing a child smile warms my heart, and being able to do it for a living is a blessing. I love my job because it comes with the benefit of knowing I may have had a positive impact on another person. I am good at caring for children because I am truly passionate about it. I plan to get my masters in Psychology and become a therapist, hopefully with young adults/kids.
