Hi there! My name's Brynn, and I moved to Los Angeles from Oregon just under a year ago (August 2017). At age 13, I began babysitting my younger brothers and cousins. And, by 16, I was nannying a three-year-old boy and his sister, a seven-year-old girl, eight hours a day, five days a week during the summer of 2015. On my off days and during the school year, I'd babysit for other families. And, on one occasion, a girl who I was watching for the first time told me I'd become her "new favorite babysitter". Just before my eighteenth birthday, I began nannying and house-sitting for a new family. They had a seven-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter. I watched them most Friday through Sunday evenings, and stayed over to tend to the family's dogs when they were out of town. After moving to LA last August, I began nannying Read more a six-year-old girl in Studio City full-time. I was in charge of getting her ready for school, taking her to school, picking her up in the afternoon, and helping her with homework and spending time with her until her parents arrived home from work. Unfortunately, in April 2018, I was rear-ended by a drunk driver on my way to work and my car was totaled. I stopped nannying for them full-time after that, knowing that the commute would become too much without a car (I live downtown), and that they needed someone full-time who could help get their daughter to and from school and her daily activities. I still help the family once or twice a month when the six-year-old has an off day from school, as they haven't found a new nanny yet. But, as much as I love them, I need to find something closer to where I live and something more full-time where a vehicle won't be required. I am more than willing, however, to take public transportation (i.e. the LA Metro system), or even Uber/Lyft, in order to get to and from work.
