I've been a Live-In Nanny for the past year and a half. The 2 girls I cared for when I started were ages 1 week old and 3 years old. I worked 6 days a week and my hours were 12-7. My duties included nap/bed time, baths, meals and carpooling. I also helped with housework. Keeping the house tidy, dishes or laundry. I am a team player so any way I could be of assistance I was more than willing to do. Prior to my Live-In Nanny job I was a nanny for 3 boys ages 6 months, 4 and 7. I was with them for about a year until the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020. My biggest responsibilities with that family were school/day care pick up, homework help, snacks and carpooling to after school activities. Prior to both of these jobs I have worked in a day care caring for up to 10 children at a time with the help of one other co-worker. I've always had an interest in working with children and fully acknowledge the responsibility and trust required in these positions. I am extremely easy going and love to help. Being a person of relief for parents and children is one of the best feelings about this job. I also love the curiosity and freshness of life that children have. I love to teach and be apart of their learning human experience. I'm extremely patient, easy-going and empathetic for these new little beings. I believe having positive and trustworthy adults in young children's live is key. I am CPR certified and have been trained (unofficially) but through example and online courses of gentle parenting and behavior modeling.
