Marysia here! Also known as Moss Mama by my students at Biocitizen, a nonprofit School of Environmental Philosophy I help run in Los Angeles. I’ve been lucky to work with a wonderful hodgepodge of kids in physical, social, and educational empowerment with kids ages K-9. I've fulfilled roles as a non profit administrator, teacher, coach, children's museum volunteer, community garden worker, and an aunt of a beautiful girl in the deafblind community whom I've helped care for since infancy. The type of nurturing care I’ve provided includes planning appropriate activities, meal prep, errands, tidying, slumber parties (date night!), adventure, and all around silliness! An active outdoorswoman and lover of hands on learning with years of childcare under the belt, my buoyant energy makes caring for even the most spirited both tamable and gratifying. I’ve used my experiences, safety-training and passion to guide children through meaningful milestones such as their first Read more swim lessons to their first overnight backpacking treks through wilderness - and provided equally profound lessons through simple sensory activities to explore mathematics and wildlife biology. A sincere care for the planet and future generations drives me to build relationships with children, their families, and communities that make those experiences possible.
