My name is Jovia Smith and my love for kids is honestly unexplainable but I'll try my very best to explain. Growing up I've always wanted to be a teacher because I loved being around kids and I also loved educating them. I remember always wanting to have the teacher role while playing with my peers. To be quite frank I started babysitting my siblings around the age of 10, my parents knew how mature I was and they trusted me to babysit, while they went to work. Babysitting my siblings included, making meals, changing diapers, feeding my infant sisters, having tutoring sessions, giving baths and putting them to bed. I enjoy singing, reading and playing with kids, the company of kids makes me happy. In high school, I took Child Development Classes which was my favorite subject by far. While being in that class we were educated on the Read more development of children as far as their cognitive, physical, emotional along with their fine and gross motor skills. We also had preschoolers who we rotated teaching and while we weren't teaching them we were designated a child to observe while they were being taught by other students in my class. We also covered lessons about disciplining kids, as far as time-outs and things of that nature. And the importance of explaining to them why they shouldn't do certain things for different reasons, whether it's harmful, disrespectful, inappropriate so on and so forth. I also love teaching kids about respect, sharing, loving, kindness, being appreciative and respectful overall. In conclusion, I'd say I'm a well-rounded client for almost any and every babysitting job only set back would be that I'm afraid of cats and dogs, very afraid! I was a honors student, I was praised for many outstanding things. I wrote poems for my school, sang the national anthem for a basketball game, I sang in the choir for every school I attended. I took pride in my imagine throughout high school and nothing has changed! I'm very positive, I love motivating, female in particular cause that's relatable. I'm caring, observant, adaptable, great at listening. And that's a little bit of everything. Hopefully, I was found qualified for something! Thanks for your time Sincerely, Jovia Smith
