My name is Christina! I am a graduate student at UCLA pursuing my Master's in Social Welfare to become licensed as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist for adolescents. I studied Psychology and Human Development in undergrad with concentrations in youth and families. I have wanted to be a therapist for youth for as long as I can remember due to my own lived experience witnessing the power adults have in shaping children's self-esteem. I love rock climbing, running, painting, and cooking! I have coached youth rock climbing teams for preschool aged to high school aged youths all throughout college. Prior to attending graduate school, I spent a few years working with families doing psychology research on youth mental health and supervising a teen crisis program at a suicide prevention center in the Bay Area. I currently intern at a charter high school as a mental health counselor for teenagers. This has fueled my motivation to leave the same impact on children in the work I do: as a babysitter, as a therapist, and hopefully, as a parent myself one day.
