Hello! I'm Yasmine and I am a college student looking for babysitting opportunities around the area. My child care experience expands across all age groups, as a former swim instructor for ages 1-12. As a swim instructor, I developed organization skills and practiced creative pedagogy/teaching styles (singing, games, drills) to create accommodated curriculums for students with special interests and special needs. Within my family and family friends, caregiving has always been a part of my day-to-day, and I find such joy in being a part of a child's positive development. I also have extensive experience in tutoring and academic advising, as a public relations officer for UCSB's Commission of Disability Equity, and a former teacher assistant at De Anza College. These roles helped me to individualize each student and practice compassion and planning as their mentor. Some of my hobbies include painting, going on hikes, and exploring the outdoors! I Read more also love animals and I am a registered feline foster parent and have vast volunteer experience for the Humane Society Silicon Valley shelter! I look forward to finding the right family, so please feel free to connect if we are a good match :)
