My name is Chelsay. I have been a babysitter/nanny since I was 15 years old (now 31). I was working as a full-time School Psychologist in Pacific Palisades. I’m moving back to Prairie du Sac, WI this summer before heading to England in the fall. I’m looking for a full time or part time summer babysitting. I completed my B.A. in Psychology at UW-Milwaukee with a certificate in Early Childhood and Adolescent Studies followed by my graduate degrees - M.S. and Ed.S. in School Psychology. Babysitting/Nanny History: 15-18: Babysitting for family friends and working at a local daycare in my hometown (infant - preschool). 19-23: Worked at the University’s accredited daycare center where I was required to take childhood classes. While working there, I was in the infant/ toddler room (3 mo to 2 years). I was also a summer nanny for two families, each with 3 children - family Read more 1 ( ages 3, 7, 9) and family 2 (ages 8,10, and 12). I was with family 2 for two summers before I moved to San Francisco, CA for my School Psychology Internship. 23-29: When I moved to San Francisco I was a live in nanny for one year. The family had 3 children (ages 11, 13, and 15). I also babysat for the family that lived below them (ages 2, 4, 7) for that year and the following year. That summer I became a summer nanny for a family with a 3 mo old boy. I babysat him and another close family friend of theirs with children (ages 3 and 5) up until I moved to LA 1.5 years ago. I sometimes visit the families I sat for in SF to see them! *I have 5+ years of working with children with ASD. I worked as an ABA therapist in college, as well as babysat a 4-year-old boy with ASD for two years while in college. As a school psychologist, I work every day with students on the spectrum.* About me: I’m empathetic, kind, reliable, friendly, and nurturing. My own interests and hobbies include: hockey, rollerblading, hiking, rock climbing, cooking, reading, spending time with family/friends, thrifting, and exploring new places/traveling. As a sitter I want to create a safe yet fun environment for your child to learn, play, and grow. I’m flexible and easy going. I have great communication and am trustworthy. I have full respect for families privacies and rules, and always want to leave your home with you feeling happy and at ease! Feel free to ask me any questions, and I hope to hear from you!
