Hi my name is Maritza. I may be 20 years old but I’ve had around 2 years of experience working with kids. I’m currently a recreation leader for my city where I have participated in both kids camp(ages 4-6) and youth camp (ages 7-13). In this job I am required to create different activities and events for the kids and a safe environment.I am CPR and First Aid Certified which is retested every 2 years. For babysitting I started middle of last year and have worked with kids from 11 months to 12 years old. I am a college student studying to be a nurse so I am also volunteering at a children’s hospital. I am mostly available all day during the weekends and sometimes in the evening weekdays just depending on my schedule.I have also tutored children at my local library to help with their comprehension skills. Seeing them finding their passion in a sport or art is another thing that I love working with them and just seeing that little sparkle in their eyes is the most wholesome thing ever. Besides all this I am a mix of both introvert and extrovert. I love reading, baking, watching movies, and making crafts. I also love going to the beach, hiking, museums and exploring new coffee shops and bookstores. When I was younger I use to be a dancer for around 4 year. I grew up with my cousins being around-we were either always outside coming up with new games to play, collecting bugs, or helping my grandma. I am available to drive to outings/extracurricular activities provide homework help, and do light cooking, cleaning, laundry and/or run errands. I am always available on weekends and I have no problem staying over nights. I also do not mind the long drives, I put my miles to 25 from my location. I am always on time and most of the times always 30 minutes early. The furtherest I have driven has been Laguna Beach so as I mentioned before, I do not mind the distance.
