My name is Wajma. I was raised in Germany. I moved to the United States in 2006 and I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Media Production & Criticism and a minor in German. I have been working with children for over ten years and developed extensive experience with children of all age groups -from infants to teens- throughout my college years while working as a tutor, babysitter, and a nanny. My passion for being around children began when I interned at a daycare in high school where I was responsible for implementing learning activities, engaging in reading or plays and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for the children alongside counselors. I consider myself a trustworthy, caring, energetic and disciplined caretaker. Since children are accustomed to parental presence at home and may have difficulty with separation, I put emphasis on creating a positive atmosphere for the Read more children I care for and building a tight-knit relationship with them. There is nothing more rewarding than making a positive change in the lives of children and contributing to their mental and emotional development. Working with numerous families has taught me to adapt quickly to a variety of household environments as well as given me the opportunity to build strong, permanent relationships.
