Hello! My name is Chandler. I am 24 years old and live in the South Bay Area, Sunnyvale, specifically. I am currently pursuing my teaching credential though a Montessori Teacher Training Institute, and will be fully credentialed in May. In addition to my Montessori Education background, I have been fortunate enough to study Early Childhood Development/Education through the nationally recognized ECE program at Cabrillo College. I am also CPR/First Aid trained and certified, and have my own car as well. I have nannied full time in the past, with experience with children 4mos to 16yrs old. But as of now, I am a full time preschool teacher in San Jose, and like to pick up babysitting hours whenever my schedule allows. I am available on the weekends and during some weeknights. I have taught various dance classes to young/adolescent children though Girls Inc, which is a non-profit that focuses on empowering children. I have also mentored and tutored at-risk youth at a middle school level. I am very thankful for every experience I get to have with children, as I see each as a learning experience for my own self. I love to play with children-not just "watch" them. I love to go places with children such as the beach, the park, or the library, but I enjoy spending time at home in their own environment as well. I am always encouraging self-esteem and confidence building, through conversation, imaginary play, singing, dancing, and story telling.
