Hello! My name is Alexis and I am a student here in Monterey going into my 2nd year of school, majoring in Biology. I have always been the go-to person for all my loved ones and family friends to take care of their children, ranging from 4 to 15 years old. Along with taking care of them, I would also prepare their breakfast and lunch, help with homework, and go outside and have some fun. Education is essential to me. Kids are like sponges! Incorporating education into babysitting is a must! I am very passionate about child education and am very willing to put in the patience and effort to help. I have also worked with kids that have dyslexia and autism and although it could be challenging for parents, I personally try to find patterns and ways to help them interpret information in their own, unique way. On weekends I stay in and read, go on hikes, and go to church. During the week, I am a student! Yes, even during the summer! I am currently taking 2 classes, volunteering at the hospital and working as a museum attendant in Monterey! I am pretty much available during the week after 11 am (if I have work then 4 pm) and all weekend unless I have work which is after 4 pm. I do not work often, so I do have a ton of availability! I volunteer about 3 times a month!
