I am a pre-medicine student who is dedicated and passionate about pursing a degree in medicine in order to become a pediatric nephrologist. My experience working as a volunteer in a Nursery/Neonatal Intensive Care unit has refined my skills of being observant, gentle, compassionate, loving, and understanding. I am currently working in a family medicine clinic, where I have been responsible for starting the new Reach out and Read program initiative. The programs missions is to get children at an early age reading. At each checkup a child is given a book to take home and read. Spearheading the program has exposed me and taught me how a child's mental development changes at each milestone they reach. I am CPR certified and currently in the process of being first aid certified. I am the oldest child of four and have always assisted my mother with watching my younger siblings. I Read more love working with children and children most of the time natural gravitate to me.
