On the street I grew up on, I was the oldest of about 10 children, including my 2 younger sisters. So, I began getting babysitting experience at only 10 years old. Throughout highschool I earned my spending money by nannying for a family with a 3 and 5 year old, as well as sporadic other babysitting jobs on the side. In college, I sat for many of my professor's children (ages 3 -12) and consistently sat for a family with 8 month old and 4 year old girls. I’ve had a lot of practice spending time with kids of all ages doing all sorts of activities- playing, driving to sports practices, enforcing bed times, cooking - and I always clean up afterwards!
