I graduated from California State University, Fullerton and have a BA in Liberal Studies. My goal was to become a teacher for students with special needs and have taken classes to obtain my teaching credential. Life happens, so that goal didn't happen. I have sat for a few families in the past, children ages 5-10, picking them up from school, taking them to athletic practices, help with homework and preparing healthy snacks and meals. Caring for children, teens and adults with special needs along with their families in their homes is definitely a passion of mine. I have taught self help skills, social skills and communication skills. Teaching children, teens and adults with special needs to be as independent as possible is very important to me. I currently work in the mornings at an Adult Transition Program. I am CPR/First Aid and CPI trained and can work with any child, Read more teen or adult with behavioral issues and mobility issues. In addition, I have an older brother with Autism and growing up with him has definitely molded me into the person I am today.
