Hi! I'm Emily. I have a background in education, I hold a Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and have worked in 1st through 4th grade classrooms, designed and led a graphic design program for grades 4 through 6, and taught summer school. I have experience with hands on learning including rocketry with 4th graders and chemistry experiments with kindergarteners, and I draw from a variety of educational approaches including Montessori principles, adapting to whatever works best for each individual child. I am currently completing my Master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology at CSU Monterey Bay. Social emotional learning is my biggest passion. I genuinely believe that helping kids identify, understand, and navigate their feelings sets them up for success in everything else.
