Hi my name is Salma and I am currently a college student. I have always loved taking care of people, specifically younger kids. I love being around people with a lot of energy and I tend to find that kids will always keep you on your toes and moving and that is definitely something I love about being a sitter. I love being outdoors and being active, and truly doing anything outside when it is sunny. I have always been told that I have a very maternal side as I am commonly called the “mother” of the friend group due to me just always caring for and looking after my friends. I am bilingual, I speak both English and Spanish fluently. I love to read and paint and that’s something I love doing with kids as I feel it allows them to be very creative and hands on. Something that sets me apart from other sitters is I am very attentive, loving, and energetic. I will always try to keep kids busy whether it be indoors our outdoors because I believe in letting kids let there energy out in fun ways while fostering an environment where kids will always learn a new skill or just have fun with what they are doing.

We absolutely adore Salma. She has cared for my three children (twins age 5 and a 3 year old) many occasions as well as my baby 5 mo old. Salmas best trait are she is responsible (extremely on time!), loving, never raises voice, sweet and very kind. She brings arts and crafts for the kids and really engages with them. She listens to them and remembers things they like or dislike- things that show she really loves being a caregiver. Truly can’t recommend someone more confidently. We love Salma!

Hi! I am a third year studying film and theater at UCSB. I am originally from Indiana, where I have 2 younger siblings. I believe this is where my love for children comes from, for I have always thought of my siblings in a maternal way. Thus, I started babysitting in 8th grade for it was the only job that truly sounded appealing and exciting to me. Ever since then, I have babysat and nannied throughout my summers and during the school year on weekends and nights. I genuinely love working with kids and hope to work with yours :)

Alondra is the BEST! We were so lucky to have her! She was always on time (often early) and flexible if we ever needed more time. She was incredible with our baby girl starting at 4 months old. She was intuitive and got her down for all her naps. You would often hear her singing and playing with her. She gave her full attention. You could tell my girl was super comfortable with her and would light up every time she came over. Alondra also speaks Spanish and spoke only Spanish to our girl (I am a Spanish teacher and that was important to me). She is easy to communicate with and genuine and kind. I can't recommend her enough :)

Hi! I’m Nicole! I’m a happy, fun-loving detail-oriented mom of 3 teenagers. I own a children’s resale boutique in town and one of the things I like best about it is interacting with the kids and their families! I work in my shop only part time and now that my kids are older I’ve found that I have time and love to give to families that need a little help or a break or a date night! I love animals and so pets in the home are a bonus for me. I’m also very happy to help with meal prep or tidying up if I’m at your home. I love the parks and the beach and I’m willing to take kids for walks or on outings. I’m happy to help with homework too. I love board games and coloring or drawing and playing dolls or Legos or imagination games or doing anything that the kids like to do. I’m fit so I can keep up With them on bikes or scooters or even just racing around outside. I truly enjoy being silly with kids of all ages and enjoy having fun and engaging with them at their level. Newborns to teens… I love all the stages! I was a full time nanny before and during my tenure at UCSB and started babysitting as soon as I could as a young girl. I think it’s because I have a lot of love to give and my family of origin is very small so I have enjoyed being part of the families I work with. After UCSB I worked in both educational and residential facilities with severely emotionally disturbed teenagers and learned so much about behavior management and caring for children who need extra support. That was truly an educational experience for me and has positively impacted my relationships with children and as a parent myself. What else? I’m punctual, thoughtful, I have a strong work ethic, and I do what I commit to doing! I have a positive outlook on life and that shows in all I do! Let me know if you think I could be of help to you and your family! ❤️☺️

My name is Magdalena Tripoli, and I am currently a freshman at UC Santa Barbara. I have various prior experiences working with children in many aspects, including teaching and supervising young children, to childcare for individual families. I have a great passion for children and honestly miss my work with children now that I am in college. I have worked as a swim instructor for three years (ages 9 months- 16 years old), so I am a lifeguard and cpr certified (pediatric and adult). I have been babysitting for at least 5 years, but as of last year, I had about three families I consistently babysat for, which included taking public transportation together to school & activities, cooking meals, cleaning ect. I have experience working with children on the spectrum. I have worked at an after-school program, as well as a daycare (ages 2-5), where I led activities, reinforced positive behavior, and changed diapers. All of these opportunities have helped shape my love for children as well as my ability to be the best person I can for young children to look up to and come to for help, reassurance, nurturing, and fun. These experiences have strengthened my ability to create a positive, structured, and supportive environment for young children. I would love to have the opportunity to bring my experience and skills to you and your family!
