I love being a babysitter because I really enjoy spending time with kids and discovering all sorts of interesting things. It brings me great joy to learn alongside them and it makes this job incredibly fulfilling. I have several years of experience working with children, having been involved in children’s radio programs since I was nine years old, leading music workshops and school concerts. For babies and toddlers from birth up to three years old, I provide daily, age-appropriate activities focused on early childhood development, including motor skills such crawling, walking or talking, autonomy skills, and daily care such as feeding, hygiene, and learning what they can safely eat. I love using music and movement with them, and I’m always researching and learning whether it’s about child development, nutrition, or body movement. This allows me to always think like a child and connect with them at their level, which is the best way I can support their growth. I also like guiding them through values I learned at home since I was little with helped me a lot as a person. Since I was a child, I have been deeply interested in the world of arts and music. From the age of 12, I have been learning to play instruments like the jarana, piano, ukulele, and I perform basic skills in guitar and Latin percussion. Since I was 6, I have also danced folk and Latin American dances. Additionally, since I was 9, I have been part of a radio program, so I am a radio host and do voiceover and radio presenting. I have also been studying to become a jazz singer for two years. I absolutely love dancing, painting, drawing, and creating crafts. I also love cooking; I have learned a lot from my mom. Since I was 12, I have been deeply immersed in a traditional musical genre from my hometown, and I continue to grow my knowledge in that style. I consider myself a nature lover, and I am passionate about teaching kids the importance of caring for the environment. I have and I feel that I connect easily with children. I also have a lot of patience, which I have found is the key to all of this work that I love, and I have been driving since I was 14 years old.

I know that my time and place here is meant to be someone whom supports, educates, and laughs with children. I know how important the tone of voice you use when talking to children, how they see you interact with the world, and how they need humans in their life that are compassionate, patient, and know how effective they can be in molding a child's way of being. I am currently a Philosophy student at UC Berkeley, working on a project that will bring philosophical discussions into classrooms and community centers. Especially in this time, children need help in making sense of everything, answering their questions that are sometimes unanswerable.
