Hello, my name is Sydney. I grew up in Sandy, Utah and recently moved to Monterey. My husband is learning mandarin at the presidio of Monterey and we will be here for 18 months. My hobbies include boating, hiking, reading, baking, organizing, and spending time with my family. I hold Christian values close to my heart. When I was 19 years old I spent 18 months living in Virginia serving a mission for my church. It was a wonderful experience meeting many people, serving others 24/7, and strengthening the faith of myself and all I met. Because my faith and church are important to me I will be unavailable on Sundays. When I returned from my mission I began college in Utah. I have completed two years of college including all nursing prerequisite courses and will apply to nursing programs before returning home. My goal is to work in the Read more NICU as a registered nurse. I love children (all stages and ages are fun) and have much nannying and babysitting experience. When I was 14 I babysat two children (6 & 8) for a summer. After graduating high school I babysat a 15 year old who is autistic. It was a wonderful experience. For the past two years I nannied four children. When I began their ages were 8, 5, 2, and 6 months. It was heartbreaking to leave them! I especially enjoy watching several children at once. Outside of these consistent babysitting jobs I have babysat many children while parents have a date night or break. As a nanny I always tidy up the house, help the kids have fun outside and with various activities (chalk, walks, zoo, playground etc), ensure the children follow house rules, and prepare meals. I am comfortable with play dates, bathing/bedtime routines, morning routines, and resolving conflicts between siblings. I love babysitting, especially long term, to see children grow and develop. Their tender hearts and sense of humor bring great joy to me. I cannot wait to meet your little ones!
