Hi! I'm a former preschool teacher and Nanny looking for part time hours while my school age kiddos are in school. I'm also available full time but would need some flexibility with either bringing my children or picking them up from after care before it closes. I LOVE spending time with babies, toddlers, preschool age kids, as well as older children. I love how curious and innocent they are and love to foster their curiosity through play and fun adventures. I love arts and crafts, science projects, taking kids to parks, music class and the library. I have excellent references, own my own SUV so plenty of room to drive your children around. I am trained in first aid and CPR and have over 20 years of experience with children of all ages.

We met Julie, along with several other qualified sitters, and decided that she would be a great fit for our family to care for my 3 month old daughter. We set up her first day about 2 weeks in advance of the start date. We were completely up front in our listing about the hours, the rate, and our expectations. I even confirmed with her several times during the interview and after with follow-up messages that this job will work for her. She accepted the job, and said everything was "great!" until the day before she's supposed to start. She sent me a message saying she took another job. It would've made a difference if she simply gave me more notice, so I could've come up with a backup plan. Now, having already let go of our previous nanny, I am scrambling to find someone last minute to care for my daughter. I am blown away at the level of unprofessionalism and inconsideration. As someone who was a preschool teacher, a nanny, and has children of her own, I assumed she understood the kind of trust we as parents must place in people we hire to care for our children. I'm usually hesitant to write negative reviews about people, but she has left our family in such a crappy situation, I hope something like this doesn't happen to another family.
