Hello! I am a Moreno Valley College student. I am in the process of getting an AA is Sociology and I am also taking Early Childhood Education classes to build my understanding when working with children. My early experience babysitting began with me babysitting my 3 younger brothers while my parents worked or while my mother was at school. This included housework and light cooking. My professional experience working with children is through Think Together, an after school program. I was a program leader for 2 years, I started off working with 1st and 2nd graders and I continued to work with the same group of kids until they were 3rd and 4th graders. The kills I obtained skills such as providing homework assistance and creating a safe environment through leading sports teams and educational activities. In the 2 years working at Think Together I had 20-25 student under my Read more care every day. I was provided with training multiple times a year to ensure that I was giving the students the best and safe care. I am really good at open communication with children and parents. I understand when a child in struggling in schoolwork and have learned way to help them learn and understand in both Language Arts and Mathematics.
