I have been babysitting since 2012. I worked through the YMCA so I am certified in CPR/First Aid. While I do not have prior experience in working with children with disabilities I have a sister with ADHD and Aspergers, so I am aware and comfortable with anything along these lines. I first started babysitting to make extra pocket cash as a young teenager, however, after about 1 to 2 years I figured out how much I loved working with children. My ideal job is to become an elementary school teacher. Working with children makes me extremely happy and brings me back to the present and even helps me deal with life from different perspectives. I have babysat 4 children at a time, but they were all in elementary school. I have been known to connect with children quickly and have them warm up to me within a few days. I Read more also am very hands-on, that is my phone is away unless there is an emergency phone call or text I need to take.
