Hello :) My name is Ruth Herrera-Flores and I am 17 and 11 months old (I know that this website requires you to be 18 years old but I promise and assure you that I am just as responsible and mature as I will be in a month)! I was born and raised in Mountain View. I consider myself to be pretty versatile with experience in various fields from retail, education, and pet sitting! I love kids so all of my volunteer jobs have had something to do with them! For the past three years, I have been an intern at Stretch to Kindergarten which is parent participation kindergarten readiness program that helps kids have a successful transition to Kindergarten. I have a lot of classroom experience that included leading activities, helping teach lessons, and overall, keeping the children engaged. In addition to STK, I have experience tutoring students at Read more Huff Elementary & Crittenden Middle School, teaching classes at The Girls’ Middle School’s summer program, Jumpstart, for Bennett Scholars and mentoring. In terms of babysitting, I have experience through taking care of my little cousins. I occasionally pick them up from school, take them to their after school activities, help them out with their homework and of course, play with them while staying safe and being responsible!
