I started my work with children back in middle school, baby sitting for a family friend while she finished school. While I enjoyed watching her children and helping her out, my passion for this work did not ignite until I was a sophomore in high school. This was when I got together a group of fourth and fifth graders and formed a volleyball team. I had been playing volleyball for four years and I wanted to share my experience and love for this sport to a younger generation. This was an invaluable experience for me. I need to organize and encourage a large group of young girls. This challenged my organizational and communication skills and I feel that I grew as a person as I helped the girls volleyball skills grow. I continued to coach all through high school and it had been an instrumental part of my time learning Read more to work with children. I now have babysat and nanny multiple kids and I always strive to be active and try new activities with them. I have also worked with special needs children and my previous experience has taught me important skills with patience.
