I'm a stay at home mom to a 3 year old girl and I'm currently looking for a part-time babysitting/care position to supplement our income. My professional childcare experience includes one-on-one full time care for a baby (from 6-12 months) and I also cared for an 18 month old full time in my home until this December. I have 7 years' experience providing support to adults with developmental disabilities in community and day program settings, most recently at an art program where I provided direct support to 100 clients. I hold a Bachelor's degree in social work from California State University, Sacramento. My coursework included 9 units of child development classes and a semester-long internship at an elementary school, where I worked directly with 4th, 5th and 6th graders. I have a ton of fun with my daughter and we stay very active every day. My hobbies include Karate and singing. I have a brown belt in Shotokan Karate, and I am an assistant instructor for a children's class with 6-13 year olds. I know pretty much every Raffi song by heart and I have an appropriate song for every activity a toddler might engage in, from teeth brushing to kite flying! My CPR certification is not current, but I'm happy to renew my certification if this would be a benefit to your family. I have excellent references and I love spending time with kids, especially babies and toddlers. I'm open to providing light housework, meals (i'm a great cook!) and pickups/dropoffs as well.
