Meet Phyllis

  • Comfortable with pets

I started babysitting when I was 12 years old for my next door neighbor's baby. After a year or so, I babysat for others. As an adult I have taken care of people's children many times though often without pay because I love to be with children, so my 'paid years' is a low number. I worked in a special education middle school for 8 years and also took care of a child at my church for a year during services. For about a year I also babysat 2 girls from age 1.5 - 2.5 whose mothers were friends. I have a lot of nieces and nephews who I have taken care of too. Recently, I have volunteered to help a neighbor by watching her 8 month old a couple of hours per week.
