Having spent quite a few Sundays playing with Preschool kiddos and a summer Camp Counseling for Elementary children, I have developed many ideas of how to keep kids entertained, engaged and excited about what's going on in front of them. Eating a snack of goldfish suddenly becomes a long-winded tale about mermaids beneath the sea and pirates searching for treasure. Having to clean up crafts can become an adventure and a organizational treasure hunt. Growing up in a household where some kids didn't get much attention, I have a desire and willingness to ensure that each child's needs are met, be that by play or food or sleep. It's been an absolute pleasure to be able to spend time getting to know little ones, learning their passions and allow them to feel listened to. Many days of Camp were spent just listening to the kids, where they want to go Read more and how they see life. I feel very blessed to have been a part of their lives, if only for a season. They have taught and continue to teach me how to find joy in life.
