Hi! My name is Racquel, and I have recently relocated to SoCal by way of Toronto, ON. I have worked with a plethora of youth (ages 11-19) from various backgrounds in my time as a full-time Youth Worker in shelters and group homes in Vancouver, BC (2018-2021). In 2019, I began working as an Improv and VoiceOver instructor at sleep-away summer camps (ages 13-17), and currently teach VoiceOver to kids (ages 10-13) through different schools in Canada, online and in-person. I have certifications in First Aid, CPR, Mental-Health First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Privacy/Confidentiality Training, Indigenous Cultural Safety Training, and Suicide-Prevention Training. I have a Vulnerable Sector Check that was completed in Canada in 2022. In addition to all of this, I am the eldest child in a massive Italian family, so I was essentially born into a babysitter role for my younger brothers and too many little cousins. I also believe in accountability and respecting the wishes and rules of parents, as long as they are ethical and not a safety concern. I take the safety and well-being of every child very seriously, and it shows in my many successful years of youth care.
