Hello! My name is Madeline (Maddie) Alvendia, B.A., E.d.M. I am an educator, activist, and life-long learner based in Oakland, California. I received my B.A. in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I graduated in three years. I received my E.d.M. (Master's in Education) from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education in May 2019. I spent a year teaching middle school Social Studies in Richmond, CA, and a year teaching AP and non-AP Social Studies at high schools in San Jose, CA. I am now a fully self-employed educator, teacher, tutor, professor, and anti-racist pedagogy facilitator.
