Hi! My name is Tessa Corrie and I am a caregiver and freelance theater director. My background in theater is an asset as it can provide a hands-on approach to imaginative play, building strong communication tools, and growing self-awareness. I have worked with children in many capacities but most recently as a full-time nanny, behavioral therapist, and babysitter. As a caregiver, I believe in fostering a secure attachment style, introducing Montessori tactile learning, and creating a nurturing environment to explore independence and identity. During the summer and on various date nights I additionally cared for her 3 1/2 year old sister. All together we learned so much like how to communicate our wants and boundaries, how to play together, parallel play, and share. As well as learn emotional regulation tools. When I was just with the baby I taught her basic ASL, we learned how to clean up (wiping down high chair, putting away toys), and grow her independence (choosing clothes and activities with confidence)! She gained a greater sense of herself through our time together and surpassed milestones (walking on her own at 11 months)!
