Hello! I am a seasoned child caregiver, with multiple years experience working as a preschool teacher in child-led, play-based programs inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Prior to teaching, I spent time as a one-on-one aide for children with ASD, as well as volunteering in the Child Life program at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and within elementary school garden programs in Eugene, Oregon. I have a certification in Early Childhood Education from Saddleback College, as well as my Bachelors of Arts in English from University of Oregon. I find a lot of joy in working with children; my passion lies in the quiet moments of childhood, understanding acutely the importance of each child being seen for who they are and where they are at within their own unique stages of development. In my work as a teacher, I aim to encourage all children in their own discoveries Read more and formations of learning, offering space for their creativity and individuality, as well as providing a foundation for what it means to be in community with others. And while I am currently taking a break from the classroom, I approach babysitting with the same care and attention just as I would teaching.
