As a high school student, I volunteered as a Sunday school teacher for pre-school aged children, and once in college, I worked at an early education childhood center and tutored 4 students ranging in age from 6 to 17. I worked as an English teacher abroad for 9 years, teaching children as young as 5 and as old as 15 years old. Currently, I am a graduate student studying to be a school counselor and marriage & family therapy with a special interest in restorative practices. I have a Certificate of Clearance from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, which includes an FBI background check and a TB test. This past year, I worked as an intern at a public elementary school in San Lorenzo under the supervision of the Director of Student Support Services for the district.
