I am a passionate educator who has worked as a dedicated preschool teacher for the past ten years. I've taught "Parent and Me" classes for children ranging from newborn to two and a half years old. I have been the head teacher for the two, three, and four-year-old classrooms, as well as the school-wide nature and art curriculum developer. While teaching I developed a popular nature summer camp and taught successful art and science enrichment classes for preschool-aged children. I view children as individuals and believe there is no one size fits approach to working with them. Rather I prefer to stay as up to date as possible on educational research and philosophies so I can find creative ways of providing experiences that will uniquely serve every child I work with. I incorporate my love of art, nature, gardening, and yoga into my work with children as well as mindfulness Read more practices to soothe and help build coping skills. I believe childhood is a precious time and I have always felt honored to be a part of it. I absolutely adore this work and have put it on hold to return to school in order to increase my skill level even further and deepen my understanding of child development.
