Hello parents! My name is Katherine, and I have recently graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Master's in Teaching! Last year, I graduated with a BA in Psychology and Minor in Child Youth Studies. I am currently working as an Office Assistant at the University of San Francisco. My passion in life is helping others. I try to live this out in every aspect of my life. My goal is to become an elementary school teacher in San Francisco one day! I have always felt a close connection with children, and enjoy my time whenever I am around them - whether that is through being a teacher, teacher's assistant, camp counselor, tutor, or simply a friend. I especially love to use my passion of helping others when I am around children and playing a part in their education - both inside and outside the classroom. My experience Read more includes being a teacher's aid for Catechism Classes, a camp counselor for a summer camp, a student teacher for 7th and 8th grade math classes, and a student teacher in kindergarten and 5th grade classrooms. I have also babysat for children ages 2 to 12 for 8 years. In my free time, I like to do a variety of activities! I was born and raised in San Francisco, so I love to go outside during the weekends and explore the city. Even though I have been here all my life, I am constantly finding out about new places all the time! Other hobbies include reading, playing the piano, running, dancing, photography, and baking. I also love to travel and can't wait to see the rest of the world. I love to babysit because being around children is when I find I am the happiest myself. I have seen how my past teachers have watched children grow from little babies to mature young adults. As an aspiring teacher, babysitting gives me the opportunity to work one-on-one with a variety of children and grow from each new experience. I love working with children because knowing that I was helping them grow and helping them learn something new is one of the best feelings in the world! Please contact me if you have any questions!
