Hi! Along with my 10+ years working with children and their families, I have excellent writing and verbal skills. I and a Singer/Songwriter and play the guitar, piano, base and African Drums. I also have taught children how to write & record their own songs, where then they can listen to their songs later and dance or perform to their own music. It’s Fun! I’ve been playing soccer since I was 6years old and play co-ed soccer every chance I get. I am also a Triathlete and have a black-belt in Taekwondo. Having my Certificate in Sound-Healing Therapy allows me to work with folks on Sound-Meditation, Breath-Work and ultimately provides a sense of “calmness.” As a Preschool teacher, we would take at least 15-30minutes (depending on the age of the child/children) and practice some Sound-Healing meditation. In these sessions, I would incorporate Sound Bowls, Tuning Forks, Chimes, and soothing Surround-Sound Read more music to provide a sense of stillness. I would also offer little mantra’s for the children to repeat, such as “I am safe, I am loved, I am healed.” We found that over the course of 2-5 weeks, the children with ADHD had more focus and that the children in general children were able to cope with conflict resolution better and were even more in tune with their own bodies as well with each other when playing together. Amazing.
