Hello! 😊My name is Keylin Vega and I am 21 years old. I graduated college with an Associates Degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education in December 2023. During college, I did a total of 126 supervised volunteer hours and was able to practice important guidance skills, such as conflict resolution. I worked with children of ages 2-5 and benefited from seeing the teachers at work and receiving constructive feedback from them when doing activities with the children in their classroom. Although I worked with toddlers, I also took two infant care courses, where I learned how to enhance their development in all domains, not just physical. Besides volunteering at my college’s preschool program, I am also the oldest among my family of six, which means that I’ve had the role of babysitting and taking part in my siblings’ upbringing as I am 5,6, and 7 years older than them. I Read more helped my parents out when they needed me to feed them as toddlers and I continue to help take care of them now that they are teenagers. I have the responsibility to take my sister to school, and to cook and serve lunch for all three of my siblings when my mom needs to accompany my dad to his job. Overall, I genuinely love working with kids and enjoy learning about how to provide the best care for them in all aspects of their development. I look forward to spending time with each child and their families, and attending their individual needs. I will accommodate to the family that I will be helping as much as I can! I am willing to get First-aid and CPR training if hired.
