Hello! I am a motivated and passionate behavioral health counselor with 4 years experience serving children and adults with diverse needs including autism spectrum disorder. I accompanied them working on home activities such as cleaning rooms, getting dressed and reminders to shower/brush teeth. I also accompanied these individuals in school and in community on field trips, both with groups and as 1:1 with the child or adult. I worked at Birmingham Charter High School as a Paraprofessional Volunteer Aid before moving into Applied behavior work. I am currently enrolled in Santa Monica College studying Child and Adolescent Development, and plan to transfer to achieve a Bachelors in Social Work. I am trained in de-escalation of tantrums and physical/vocal behaviors. I am formally trained in professional crisis management including using aggression management on physical individuals through Professional Crisis Management Association.
