I have babysat on and off throughout my high school and college years. I would often be the weekly “date night” babysitter for several families and would help cook and clean while the parents were on a date. When I was 19, for about 2 years, I babysat a family of 4 boys weekly, ages 1-6. Once, the oldest child tripped and hit his head on his dresser and needed stitches. Since the child was not unconscious I called the parents first, then drove him and his 3 siblings to the hospital under the parents request. When we arrived at the hospital, the child who had hurt himself was laughing and having a good time. Children reflect your emotions and since I was calm, the child was calm. Any time there are children nearby, I often have "mom mode" and keep an eye out for all children, even if they Read more are not specifically under my care. I enjoy camping, hiking, and playing pokemon go. I'm transferring to UCR this year for an undergraduate in Psychology. My college goal is a PhD in psychology to become a therapist or chaplain. I also am the volunteer assistant manager for the Riverside County Suicide Hotline, where I am required to assess and make critical decisions in emergency situations.
