Hi, my name is Mariam, but I go by the nickname Zoe! I am a second-year student at Baker University out in Kansas but was born and raised in California. My family recently moved out to Roseville from Sacramento, where I had a job working at a Montessori Daycare, so I have 3 months of experience working with infants. I am also working towards my Elementary Education bachelors degree so I have experience in that aspect. I am the oldest of 5, one being under 5, so I am used to a chaotic household and can handle multiple kids at once. A little about my experience as a student at Baker University. I am a second-year, going on my third year studying Elementary Education. I chose to go here because of their wrestling program, a sport I have been doing since my freshman year of high school. I am very Read more involved with my team and will be a two-time team captain coming next season. This semester I got to take a practicum course, which means that I was able to get experience and observe a classroom of third-graders. I worked well in that classroom, and it makes me excited to work with my own students one day. Until then, I hope to gain experience working with children through babysitting, and I just love being around kids! Being the oldest of five has given me a patient and kind nature, so kids tend to like being around me too.
