Hello! My name is Carlos but I also go by CJ. I enjoy the ocean, surfing, and ocean photography. My experience with children began when I was in high school working at a surf camp where we taught children (ages 5-13) how to surf. While attending college I began working at an after school care program where I coordinated and directed daily activities such as arts and crafts and outdoor games for K-5 students. During my last summer at college I had the privilege to become the first assistant director for a swim and tennis club for children ages 5-11. I was responsible for an average of 20 kids each day as well as communicating with parents any issues or concerns. My current position doesn't have any relation to children as I now work at a surfboard factory however, I have flexibility in my schedule to return to helping parents Read more and children. I am currently living with a 1 1/2 year old toddler and have been learning the basics with changing diapers and bottles. With that, I still thrive in creating a fun and enjoyable space the toddler can laugh and enjoy himself. Lastly, I encourage children to have fun and be themselves. Having a fun and positive attitude reminds me to not take life so seriously and enjoy the present moment.
