I have worked with kids for over 3 years now. I have worked as a nanny, intern at a private school (Davis Waldorf School), and as an after school teacher in public education (Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center). Working with kids is my passion but I understand that there’s so much more than just working with kids when it comes to being a nanny. On top of looking after children I can cook, clean, drive, and tutor. If requested I can also create an enriched afternoon for your child or children. This would include a possible art project or science experiment which provides children the opportunity to learn even when the school day is done! And of course I’d be happy to supply materials for such projects. In my experience I’ve learned how to connect with teachers so if needed I would have the ability to correspond with teachers as Read more well. As an intern I worked primarily with preschool and kindergarten and learned how to calmly transition youngsters from school time to nap time to snack time and then on with the rest of the afternoon. At the center I worked with third through fifth graders where we would transition from school to homework and then snack and then an enriching activity. I have a background in theater and dance, as well as most fine art from painting to mixed media to ceramics and even digital art. I myself love the outdoors and find it to be incredible for children so I would make sure that they receive at least 30 minutes a day of outdoor activity. Soccer practice? Recital? Play date? No worries! I’d be happy to take them to wherever they need while in my care. My goal for my place as a care taker in your family is to be the Mary Poppins of their dreams!
