Hello! My name is Rachel and I am the oldest child of four. My three younger brothers and I grew up in Minnesota where I was a babysitter and nanny for many of my neighbors. Throughout high school and university, I was a lifeguard and water safety instructor. I graduated from Augsburg University with a biology degree and then spent time teaching English in Malaysia on a Fulbright Scholarship. Currently I live in San Clemente, California where I am looking to pursue my PhD in marine biology. Teaching is my passion and babysitting allows me to both teach life skills and learn how to have fun anywhere life brings me. I find working with the next generation of leaders incredibly rewarding and so much fun and I would love to help out with childcare, pet care, or housekeeping!

Our daughter, Evie, was 1.5 year old when we started using Rachel. Rachel is hands down the best babysitter we could have asked for! She is an amazing person and has such a positive attitude. Our daughter absolutely loves Rachel and spending time with her. Rachel actually played with and entertained Evie. She even brought her toys, bubbles, and thought of fun ways to entertain Evie. Rachel's energetic demeanor was perfect for Evie. She was always caring towards Evie and always kept her safety # 1. We will miss Rachel, and we would use her again if given the opportunity!
