Not only do I have quite a few things in common with children under the age of 8 (I do love candy, One Direction and the Disney Channel), but I have experience with children ranging from newborns to pre-teens. I was a nanny for a three-month old until 14 months, a babysitter for many years for one, two, three and even four kids at a time. I’ve watched twins, boys, girls, brothers, sisters, cousins, and everything in between. I would definitely say my specialty is babies and toddlers, but I can carry a conversation with the older ones as well. I love watching kids, interacting with them, doing fun projects and just seeing the world through their eyes. I know it sounds super cheesy, but nothing is more awesome than a small child’s imagination. We played with paper towel tubes pretending we were on a pirate ship for hours.
