I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to California for college 3 years ago. I am a junior at UCSB and plan on becoming a kindergarten teacher. I was raised with two younger siblings, my sister is 4 years younger and my brother is 11 years younger. Because I was 11 when my brother was born my mom often left me in charge of him. When I was 12 she started paying me $10.00 an hour to watch him from 2pm-6pm. I also babysat many children in my neighborhood, ranging from 4 months to 9 years old. By the time I was able to drive I would take the kids I babysat, including my brother to practices, school and other activities. I feel that I am loving, responsible and kind. Many people have told me that I was born with a nurturing soul and that I am excellent with Read more children.

Report

Trustline is California's official background check for license-exempt child care providers (i.e. babysitters and nannies) and the only authorized screening program in California with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and access to the California Child Abuse Central Index. The Trustline registry toll-free telephone number is 1-800-822-8490.

Pursuant to Section 1596.859 of the Health and Safety Code, parents have the right to receive information regarding any substantiated or inconclusive complaint about licensed child care providers. That information is public and can be acquired by visiting the California Department of Social Services' Internet Web site at "www.cdss.ca.gov".
