Hi my name is Miranda and I am twenty one years old. I began babysitting my neighbors two daughters whom were a year old when I was only nine years old myself. Since then I have babysat or nannied for numerous families. I am fluent in ASL (American Sign Language) and have plenty of expierence with special needs. I have actually worked at Addie's autism fitt and also as a group home care giver for autistic adults. I would say atleast 50% of the families I have had the opportunity to work for have had a special needs child. Normally while I am babysitting or nannying I like to do a lot of arts and crafts, creative things/experiments, outside playtime/walks/adventures, and anything that involves the kiddo to get to use their imagination. In my personal opinion I think its important to let children have fun and do hands on activities, Read more I try to limit screen time and introduce new and different activities to do instead. I personally do not drive and I know thats a big factor for some families. I am willing to do walks to any where needed or if necessary I am very confident in using public transportation. I feel a bonus about me not driving is that I have the opportunity to get extra outdoor time, fresh air is important, and i feel it gives more learning experiences.
