Maria cared for my 5 month old 1x/wk for a little over two months. My husband and I absolutely loved her! From the start, she was extremely reliable and communicated any scheduling changes well in advance. She was also very quick to learn our babies routine and schedule. At the time, my baby was recently refusing the bottle and starting to have some separation anxiety. Maria was extremely patient and was very creative with figuring out ways to help my baby start taking the bottle again. Maria kept my baby engaged and helped her work through any separation anxiety. Another thing that is wonderful about Maria is that if you give her instructions (e.g. your babies routine, sleep training, etc.), you can be sure that she will follow through and be consistent with it! She told us that she has a background in ABA therapy, and I think it shows in her consistency and her calm, patient demeanor. When Maria could no longer babysit for us, she even helped us find another sitter (her sister! who we also love!). We feel so lucky to have had Maria as our baby's first sitter, she is a really wonderful person and immediately put us (as first-time parents leaving our baby for the first time) at ease. She is extremely trustworthy, reliable, mature, and kind.
