I am a mom of two young children aged 6 and 4. They go to their respective schools during the day. I was a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in Canada working with children of all ages including preschools (traditional & Montessori), kindergarten, and before & after school programs. RECE is certified upon completion of a 2-year full-time college program covering all aspects of early childhood development and education. 0-5 is the age group which I have the most experience with. Currently, I work as a support teacher in a Charter school with school-aged children. I had the opportunity to be on both sides - a teacher, and a mom over the past 10 years of working with children. Additionally, my son has ADHD and Autism (high-functioning), I'm used to providing behavior guidance and teaching age-appropriate problem-solving skills to young children.
