I'm currently a third-year cognitive and behavioral science undergraduate at UCSD. Some relevant courses I have taken are the Science of Parenting and Laboratory in Education Research and Outreach. In the Science of Parenting, I learned about different parental topics and the statistics and research behind them. In the Laboratory in Education Research and Outreach, I learned how childhood education can be structured to best suit children's needs. Through field excerpts and discussion-based assignments, I learned how to create engaging activities for students and the best ways to respond in numerous situations. While these were all in classroom environments, I also have experience working with children. Throughout the last two summers, a group of interns and I organized a small summer program for young students. Through this program, I interacted with the children and created activities that sparked their interest.
