My name is Kristina Gourley. I graduated from the University of San Diego in May, 2013. I am originally from Newburyport, Massachusetts, where I had the pleasure of caring for the children of many wonderful families over the years. I started as a mother's helper in the sixth grade (age 12) and have been babysitting and nannying after school and every summer up to the present (age 23). I am currently a nanny for a 9-month-old baby girl three days per week. I have some extra time on my hands and would love to get involved as an occasional sitter with other families. I am CPR certified and charge between $13 and $15 per hour depending on the number of children and the distance of the job. Apart from occasional babysitting (weekend) jobs, I worked the past four summers full-time for a family, taking care of their 8 year-old daughter Read more (I began when she was 5). In my off time, I also spent the past couple years babysitting for a family several times per week with two children ages 0-1 and 2-3 (over the two years). For both families mentioned (and many past families) my responsibilities included taking care of the children, cooking for and feeding the children, putting the (younger) children down for naps, entertaining the children (playing, doing arts and crafts, going for walks, visiting parks, etc.) and driving the (older) children to and from activities and camps. I love spending time with kids, having fun, making learning fun, and bringing out the best in them. I like to spend time outdoors, playing games, or doing crafts (anything to avoid too much TV time). I have my own car and am available to provide transportation if needed. My plans for the future include achieving my master’s in elementary education.
