Hi new friend! My name is Kendall and I am a 29-year-old PhD student at Stanford. I am studying psychology and neuroscience that focuses on early life stress and brain development. I have previoisly worked at UCSF in child neurology research for children with brain malformations. I have also worked at a neuroscience lab on language studies in which we are examine the literacy acquisition of bilingual kindergarteners to their English-only speaking counterparts. I have previous experience as a behavioral technician and able to work with children with autism spectrum disorders. I have experience with children between the ages of 3 months - 10 years. I began babysitting my younger siblings when I was 15 years old (we have a 5-6 years age difference). With UrbanSitter/SitterCity, I have worked as a nanny for 10-24 month olds during the week and have experience with potty training, feeding dinner, light housekeeping, and Read more putting children to bed. I also have tutoring experience through the Upward Bound Program at USF in which I tutored middle and high school kids in biology, chemistry, Spanish, and math (levels: basic arithmetic to calculus I). During the summer of 2013, I worked for Camp Galileo LLC., a camp dedicated to enriching the minds of children in hope of integrating science into their daily lives and pushing children to become innovative. I was a Team Leader and worked with my own groups of 10-18 kindergarteners for 8 weeks. I also have experience in babysitting two children at a time. I was previously a nanny for a 3 and 7-year-old, as well as a 1 and 4-year-old. A typical day included pick up from separate schools, homework/tutoring, dinner, and playtime. During my spare time, I enjoy completing puzzles, attending lyrical dance and vinyasa yoga classes, and going to science museums. Currently, I am only available for occasional jobs or a recurring date night routine.
